Salmon Brook Music Series

The Salmon Brook Music Series continues to plan concerts which bring people and music together.
Thank you to all who supported the Salmon Brook Music Series this past season. We have been working hard lining up acts for this coming season! Next up...

Saturday, September 30 The Tarbox Ramblers 7:30pm

Join us as we kick off the 2017-18 season of the Salmon Brook Music Series with The Tarbox Ramblers! You've heard them on "Sons of Anarchy" and "Supernatural," now come hear them live! Their music has been described as blues/folk revival and adult alternative. After hearing their music, Robert Plant had them open for his tour in 2001, and they've been rocking fans ever since! Don't miss your chance to hear The Tarbox Ramblers right here in Granby. The venue, Fellowship Hall at South Church, is a relaxing and casual environment, especially family friendly and fully accessible. Tickets are available at www.salmonbrookmusicseries.com, or by calling Arlene at 860-916-5066. Also check out the band's website at www.tarboxramblers.com Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Concert proceeds will support the missions and goals of South Church. The doors open at 7pm for the 7:30 show, which will feature refreshments and beverages available for donations.

The Bruce Porter Memorial Music Series for 2017-2018
Founded in 2011 by members of South Congregational Church, Granby’s new classical music series is devoted to honoring the life and work of Bruce Porter, and his contributions as an organist and director. We will present four events in the upcoming season, thanks to the support of the Granby Education Foundation and the generous donations received from those in the Farmington Valley community who have attended concerts at South Church for the past several years.

Sunday, October 22, 2017, 4pm-- Jazz bassist Nat Reeves and poet Kate Rushin open the 2017-2018 season of the Bruce Porter Memorial Music Series. They will be joined by the musicians of the State of Emergency Quartet from the Artist's Collective of Hartford in a deep, lively, timely program combining music and poetry.

Sunday, December 3, 2017, 4pm-- Under the baton of their new Music Director, Brian Seemann, The New England Ringers are excited to present "Christmas With All the Bells and Whistles."
