The
Music Ministry at South Church is dependent on our faithful
volunteers who rehearse weekly throughout the church year
preparing for their contribution to our public worship and
outreach into our community. We warmly welcome new members.
If you are curious about music at South Church, please speak
to Bruce Porter, or any Music Committee member, or any member
of the Chancel Choir or Handbell Ringers.

The
Chancel Choir - Rehearsals: Thursdays, 7:30-9:00
p.m. in the Choir Room. New members welcome! Call
Bruce Porter, Director of
Music, for details, at 653-2765, or leave a message
at the Church, 653-7289. The Chancel Choir is a hallmark
of South
Church. This Adult Choir (eligibility: 10th grade and above)
enhances the weekly worship service while bringing
together
those interested in music and singing.

The
Adult Handbell Ringers - Rehearsals: Saturdays,
9:00-10:45 a.m. in the Choir Room. Call Bruce Porter if
you are interested in handbell ringing. Eligibility in
Handbell Ringers is 10th grade and above. We ring frequently
during the church year and occasionally ring in the community.
In recent years many of our members have attended Family
Handbell Camp at Camp Ogontz in Lisbon, New Hampshire.

The
Youth Handbell Band - Rehearsals: Sunday after the 10:30
service. The Youth Handbell Band had its very first performance in
church on
October 31, 2004. It is a very dedicated and talented group of young
people and we’re very proud of them. Members are fourth and
fifth graders.
The Music Committee: Six church members,
along with the Director of Music, serve on the music
committee to provide effective and meaningful ministry for
the enhancement of the worship life of the church and for
the enrichment of the community.
